✅ SOLVED Small Buckle. Modern or Antique?

Stopped by a park that is in old part of town and found this small buckle about 7 inches deep and was wondering age? It says Deauville on back.
What would this little buckle be used on? A leather purse strap? Found a Dr. Sayman lid in same area.

I think they were French made buckles from the 1920's or there about.

It's a woman's fashion scarf ring. Creskol's date is a good one, give or take a decade.
