✅ SOLVED Small buckle

Dug this small buckle on a permission near Stoney Creek, Edinburg Va. Dug the buckle at about 9 inches. Sooo, how could you ever ID as a CW relic or not?

You can't. It's a horse tack buckle that could be from 1865 or 1965. Very hard to estimate an exact date with those types of buckles.

Yeah understandable, though it was dug on fertile CW
grounds...still, U'd just be guessing. Thanks !!
