✅ SOLVED Small copper cylindrical with lid and base and wires flaring

Hi , this is no larger than a salt shaker, it is all copper and has a little turn dial on the side with wires coming out of the top. Its pretty cool. I found it on an 100 year old farm. after they cleared all the big oaks, i searched and landed this near the drive way area. Any Ideas how old is it?

yea its a common lamp socket and the style doesnt look very old. Look on your lamps you will see it.
