Small decorative jewelry piece from early 1800s house site

got out yesterday to an early 1800's house site we had gone to last year and had found a few buttons at and other items at, found a couple flat buttons and other doodads, the most interesting piece i found this trip was this small earring sized piece with embedded stone thats more than likely glass.

I does look like and earring to me. Good find. That one could have easily been missed!
