Thanks everyone. I'm very familiar with the magazine/article. After a bit more digging... I believe it may (may) have been used for making RPPC postcards. But as noted, the photo is so mundane, why would they use that photo considering there are a bazillion more "professional" MP photos in the world. The reason I think it was used for postcards is there were a few other glass negatives (that I didn't care about, I just wanted this one) that I have researched and just about all of them I have seen on postcards. I did read that after 35mm became more prevalent, some postcard manufacturers did use 35mm negatives and just blew them up to size. So, I guess it's still a mystery, but could be postcard-related.
