Small jar, seems like brass!!

Did some cleaning by sanding.. some dipping in kerosene and vinegar.. have no idea about date or content.. came with about 5 kg of old coins, bought wholesale about a year ago... Noticed it only a week ago... Any idea?

Why have you tortured it and want to cut it in half? Be careful of how you handle things if they are relics or have any value lol You coul drill a few holes in it and smash it with an axe..
