small musketball???

Found this at an old farmhouse. Could it be a small caliber musketball? Feels heavy like lead but is smaller than a dime (I know I scanned it with a wheat penny). This was found there also. Anybody know??

I think I see a casting sprue on that ball.And I took measurements off the screen and got the calculator out. Figured the ball is about .38" diameter. So maybe it is a ball for a .36 caliber percussion revolver. They take a larger ball than .36 diameter to fit the chamber.Then the ball gets squeezed down to .36 when fired.
