Hadn't had a dig in about two weeks, so off I go to a very local spot, one of the first I found and hunted many a time.

Only got 3 or 4 non ferrous targets in about 1.5 hours, thought I had two buttons, but when home and with a glass I notice Victoria yound head just like on some coins, on one of the discs. Hummm......

Obverse: VICTORIA, and another word
Reverse: TO HANOVER, 1837 with horse, and rider

Any ideas ?
Fob maybe ?

Shouldn't be hard to find info. on as it's a very common design for a medal/token.

Hey Buddy, glad to see you got out. Thats a cool find that medal thing. I wonder what they were about?
ZDD

Nice digs. Thanks for the pics

Yours is more a medallion than a token, but like IP states its a common design used on many tokens & medallions. They produced millions of them mostly done in Germany to export. All metals & sizes etc....

I found one about five years ago and came up with the same info on a search

It's pretty cool what's waiting to be found out there in the ground
