Small town Life

In our tiny town, the fire whistle or siren blew at 8 pm. on week nites and 10 pm on weekends.
Kerfew siren for all kids in school better not be caught on the street or the city cop would take ya home and then ya got the snot beat out of you.

the school bus driving around the countryside for about an hour to get enough kids to fill it up

i swear we didnt get monday night football till wednesday lol

as kids we got up , ate a bowl of cereal and dissapeared till sandwich time, then dissapear again till dark.....once staying with some friends for the weekend we came in for a sandwich and their parents were gone to town, no note or anything lol....they must not have been too worried

Does anyone remember that skit? (Its off to the orphanage for the lot of you!) Maybe it's the "oh, you were lucky" skit?

I was eating dinner the other day in Wichita, and some guy had the theme song from Monty Python as his ringer on his cell phone, Talk about bringing back late night memories LOL
