I am posting this item here as I found it two weeks ago but put it to one side, now after a closer look it may be a very small telescope , found two weeks ago.

That is awesome!

Is that dug? Great shape if so

Yes it was in with my days finds but I just thought it was at first a shell casing as I find so many in that location.I cleaned it and twisted the end and it opened , there are no markings on it at all.

Very nice find. Congrats!

Hi joe, it doesn't make any sense to me its like looking through the eye of a needle what I can see is no better than actually just looking at a scene, the workmanship is really good to make that tiny eyelet on a lathe would be a challenge in its self, it was deep and on my WW1 site ....HH....Bonz

Awesome find! :occasion14:

Thats cool! [emoji2][emoji106]

It has an eyelet for perhaps a key ring or something similar.
Maybe a souvenir?
Congratulations

JTG, that is a very close ID to the one I have, mine may be missing a few pieces, doesn't seem to magnify anything up close but still has some dirt inside so a bit more cleaning may help, thans for the pic.....HH....Bonz

Saint that's it ! I will have another look at this as there maybe another retractable piece inside,it was at least 6/7" deep the pic looks like they can still be purchased so may not be very old...
