Smithfield,North Carolina looking for hunt!

Hello all, I will be in Smithfield from May 13-18 and am hoping to meet up with anyone local or within a reasonable drive to do some dectecting
in your neck of the woods. I haven`t ever strayed far from Minnesota, so this trip east is exciting, I hope to find at least a large cent or if I get
lucky, silver. I wouldn`t mind going to Raleigh, but don`t know the area.
