Hi everyone, hope you all had a good week, and some good hunts with great finds. Last weekend we didn't find much, the park we went to was quiet and cold, we were relic hunting, and Chug manage to dig up this beauty, along with this large peice of metal. I didn't find much, just a few clad, but that's ok, at least we were able to get out! Yesterday we found a new park, actually, Chug found it by accident one day while driving a different way to work. This one is beautiful, and huge, over 21 acres, with a play structure, walking paths and lots and lots of trees. I saw at least 4 apple trees, and a pear tree, but no partridge!

This one is promising. We didn't find too much garbage, we did find the graveyard of buried soda and beer cans, and slaw. The park was built in the 60's, guess it was a great place to party back then.

I also learned something important, you know how in the cartoons when someone walks on slippery things like marbles and such, and they try valantly to not fall down? Well, I did that a few times trying to detect under the apple tree! Thank goodness I had my cane, or I would have been on my behind! There were so many crab apples it wasn't funny, I did find a couple of pennies under there, so there's hope! Chug's finds, both are heavy, not sure what the second one is. My finds are, it's a cigar tube from 1940!

this is how it came out of the ground, 2 inches down, we cannot wait to go back next time the weather is clear! Chug brought home his bi-weekly finds from work, he did great this time! And finally, this was made with stuff Chug found! I made this for our freind and landlady, who is the sweetest lady we have ever known, she has been going through some tough times, so I gave it to her early. Now it's time for some pumpkin spice bread, and pumpkin cheesecake, Have a great week, stay safe and HH! Red
