Join the club. There seems to be a lot of 65s that find their way under my coil.
I take solace in wheat backs. Poor mans silver. Haha

I would be very happy with a wheaty.

no silver for me lately..

Got two wheaties yesterday, but that was in five hours, and digging just over $10 face value. The area was so trashy, I ran disc just past tab and dug what sounded good; a little over 200 coins. Only thing at all special was the two wheats, a '26D and '54D, a "target penny" (shot with a .22) and a Canadian cent. Damn; no silver.
Happy to see the wheats and a Canadian, but the common coins add up and eventually fill the tank.

You will know its silver immediately... most silver I have dug up comes out of the ground nice and white, maybe a little dirt to brush off. The only time a dug up a silver coin and "missed" recognizing it was for a silver war nickel that had lots of corrosion on it. It is after all only 40% silver.

Most the silver I've dug looks great. But the 65 half I found was pretty much black. Lol
