So I found these rocks and got my hopes up..

Hi everyone.

I have a few pictures I took of these "specimens" and I'd really like it if someone who knows the difference between "dusty yellow dirt" and raw gold.

Basically I'm looking for at least a third opinion. (I've asked myself TWICE NOW, and still I gave the same answer.) I guess I just "feel" like I've got somethin sensational here.

Now these aren't the 13 lbs of rocks I dragged from New Mexico to Arkansas. (Okay probably more like 20 lbs honestly.) That'll be a separate post. And I have a wicked awesome collection from Albuquerque.

But the ones I found in Arkansas... I just really need to know if they have gold in them, on them, around them. I must know!!! Just for the sake of my own sanity. That... and I'll totally quit hoping, wishing and dreaming once I KNOW for CERTAIN!! Then I'll move on to my next hobby.

Just need to know. Because I have quite a few of those ones. (20 lbs hauled half way across the Country? Imagine how many pounds I collected with my dig site 1500 ft away from me. LOL)

And besides, they are taking up space that could be used for my new hobby.

Oh and these are two or three different rocks. I got screenshot-happy. (stellar new app that can magnify the knees on a bee)

Welcome to Tnet. Looks like the rock is quartz, that's a good sign. I would get it checked by a pro, or if you want to keep it secret, get a test kit. Good luck, Tony
