So what's your favorite pan

It's the most basic tool we use, & there are so many variations!
I have quite a few different ones but my favorite so far is the plane jane plastic riffled pan like you get with the GPAA membership (Are they Garrett?).
Been thinking of trying one of the hexagon type. Who's tried them?
What's your favorite pan & why?

Garret any day and in every way for at least 30+ years-tried'm all and the gold standard is still these-John

I used to use a steel pan, but I stored some dry lake sediment from Sevier Lake in Utah in it for about 18 years. When I finally dumped it out, the alkalinity had rusted it severely, and pretty much ruined it. I guess the only place for it now, is hanging on a wall someplace. Do they still even make these?

I now use a black plastic pan with a riffled edge and built in sluice. Not sure of the maker. I prefer black, over green and blue, as gold really stands out against a black bachground.

I am interested in the Hex pan as well. It seems that the low corner where the sides meet makes an excellent low point to hold the gold while getting rid of the light stuff on top. interested in any opinions from anyone that has used it

A 17 inch black Keene, love it ! If it starts to rain you can put it over your head and it will help keep you dry ha ha ! It does work good though, and I won't part with it !!
