So when ya think the ground is gonna thaw out here in Jackson County?

I went down a good 8 inches before i hit ice, and that was with a hand shovel

I hope to get out friday. Just need to make sure my headphones are charged up.... Tonite I dug a test plug and made it down 2" till frost line (5" deep in Jax)

Friday I'll try to get out to search a strawberry patch, a LARGE one, hope to find known gold ring lost, or ( keys, glasses, cell phone, coin, silver,) who knows?

Are you talking about the Childs Berry Farm? I have hit that place many times in the past. Not the field though. They told me of a lost ring out there. Jim

Nope, not talking about Child's farm Jim, mine is north of Jackson. I did manage to get out today, ground is soft in some places, yet frozen solid in others. I hit a park in Leslie, a ball field, and a large 1920's school there, (with permission of owners). I found about 40 clad coin, 15 quarters, dimes, nickles, pennies. I'm not having any luck at the old school, though, I'm getting too many false signals and I think that fill dirt was brought in sometime as i've only found later clad there.

2060 ? maybe LOL

Sure seems like its gonna take that long lol.
