I can attest to the bounty awaiting at these sports complex areas. I have found great things including gold and silver rings, braclets, chains etc. The great thing is that most of them do not allow barbecueing or alchohol, so alot less trash and more goodies.

Sorry Nana, just wasn't much to say about it and I was in a hurry to get it posted before bed. All the finds were shallow 2-3 inches and it was out in the boon docks kind of park. Usually we don't get much at them. My huntig buddy, Jeff, found a similar amount of clad. We just never seem to find any silver coins anymore. Guess we need to find some old houses...but then I'd have to...ask [wringing hands]...argh!
