SOLD! WTT E-Trac for V3i

Re: WTT E-Trac for V3i

Great package but I think you will be sorry you let it go. You should try a V3i first.....

Just my thoughts

Thanks tmanly.

Fact is I have tired and owned a Vision, a V3 and a V3i. Did a lot of testing and a few videos on Youtube if you care to see them. Just search for DCDetector's channel.

I realize the E-Trac is the quicker deep silver/copper machine over the V3i, but I also realize the V3i has a lot of potential to go deeper and is more of the all-around machine. The V3i could see any of the really deep coins I found with my E-Trac it just wasn't as solid on the ID'ing part. Just like 80% of the detectors I've tested. The E-Tracs strong point is the ability to relay good and reliable information to the user when a deep coin is present. The others are less reliable, but, on some like the V3i I believe that can be adjust.

My want to trade for a V3i is because I only use the E-Trac at one site and that site is about dried up. I used a DFX for everything else, and the V3i would make my DFX obsolete. Plus I really like those wireless headphones.

digger, yes I am a sub and friend of your channel. I enjoy your videos. I know that the quality of my finds increased a lot when I purchased my Etrac. I started out with just the stock programs. The only issue that I do not like is the null on the threshold when swingin over iron that has been discriminated out. It forces you to slow way down to give the null time to recover. One thing that I have figured out is that the less discrimination I use, the easier it is to pull targets out of trashy
areas. It eliminates a lot of the nulls and also speeds the detectors response. the more complex the discrimination program is the more the processor has to work to do the calculations to give a response. I have tried a lot of units and I think the Etrac is a keeper. I think this unit with a collection of different coils will keep me satisfied for a while anyway.

Without a doubt the E-Trac does a great job in our city park where the coin are 7" deep or more. My issue is I like to hunt more than just the city park, and the finds are starting to thin out there. For all other hunting I prefer the DFX over the E-Trac, and the V3i is far better than my DFX. I also happen to believe that with some adjusting, and experience, the V3i may well out perform the E-Trac in the city park.
