Found a few new water spots from the boat today. Got four large coppers. One is a matron and another is a braided hair worn to about half its normal thickness. 1890 V nickel, 1860 fatty ihp and a few other indians. Two of which look to have been repurposed as washers. One is an 1871 key date:BangHead: Best find was the fossil shark tooth. Anyone know which type of shark? Never found one before and wasnt even sure it was possible where I hunt

Nice finds! Sorry, we don't have sharks in Illinois. Or anything too cool. Kinda jealous if you couldn't tell! Congrats!

Nice going on the Coppers.
As for a guess on the shark goes -a toothless one? :dontknow:

Cool finds.
Looks like Sand Tiger Shark?
There used to be a young lady on here that posted pictures of shark teeth fossils and she was from Maryland. She found them on the beaches or banks up there.

Calvert cliffs on the western shore of Chesapeake Bay is a well known fossil hunting location but Im a long ways from there

Cool. I never thought you could find shark teeth fossils up there till her posts. I live in the middle of Florida and I find them in the creeks here in Gainesville. 20210828_222303.webp
