Is this a rifle butt plate, or something completely different? The backside is slightly curved.

I'm not sure about the top one, I found one very similar recently and tossed it in my junk barrel. The second one reminds me of the buisiness end or point off of on of the old push type high wheel culivators (bottom right of pic).

Yours has had a couple holes added.

The first piece is iron. The second one also has a little bit of rust forming, so I'm guessing steel on that one?
