Hit a spot up in Stafford,Virginia near the Rappahannock River didn't feel like digging any huts out today so did some free roaming for about 3 hours. 3 Eagle buttons, 1 union Naval button (my second of this kind in 2 weeks), bullets and rusted out buckles. Typical stuff really no big WOW artifacts found. Found a possible trash pit at another camp that I will be checking out tomorrow! hopefully that can produce a shocker because lately all I been getting is typical union relics. Sorry for the photos not being best of quality using my cell phone camera maybe when I found that CS General Staff button I will break out the high digital camera and show everyone!

Well if you ever need help finding "typical stuff" let me know:)

Stafford County had 140,000+ soldiers come through here and the place I was hunting in was near US Ford a spot were 50,000+ Soldiers crossed the Rappahannock River to get into Spotsylvania for the Battle Of Chancellorsville and Wilderness. Back in the 70's,80's and early 90's you could literally dig buckets and buckets full of bullets and eagle buttons in a weeks time but now it is getting less so of doing that so I guess I shouldn't say "typical" cause too most MDers who don't dig much Civil War relics this would be a once in life time hunt for them.

Man that's great you always dig premo civil war stuff, keep it up save those relics!!!!

Nice finds HutSiteDigger!

95% of my CW sites are Union....you are very fortunate to be in an area where there is even the possibilityof digging confederate brass. Good digs man...even if common Union

Got to teach you to focus ur camera haha hut

That is a right smart amount of lead you got there and buttons too!

That's great! My typical day only consist of three or four bullets tops and maybe a button. My son found his first cw relic yesterday a typical eagle button I got two more and two backs that was it for about 4 hours of hunting cool thing was the ones I found were laid out in straight line each were just a couple feet apart. So your typical day is way better than my best! Good luck to you and happy hunting!

Nice Navy button. I am envious of your hit sites, that is my favorite digging.

Nice finds!! I want to get more into CW relic hunting....my tot lots & ball fields are getting used more often due to the weather getting warmer around here..
I found only two relics so far...I like the cool buckles, I found a similar one once...
keep em coming !
