This was my forth weekend in a row of pounding this baseball field. My 3 previous visits I had cleaned out the majority of the shallow 1" to 6" clad and silvers. My strategy today was to sweep extremely slow and concentrate on those deep coin targets in that were in the 7 to 9 inch depth range. After about one hour I hit a few coins that I missed in the 4 to 6 inch range, but then I got an extremely deep reading that would not pinpoint or get a depth reading after pressing my pinpoint button. It was too deep for the pinpoint button! I got a very faint high tone beep in my headphones. Digging down 8 or 9 inches and out pops a 1962 silver dime! That sure was deep for a Rosie!:icon_scratch:

After a lunch break I took off my 8" coil and switched over to a 10" coil. I proceeded to cover the same ground with the ten incher and could tell I was getting better depth. A wheat penny that was another very faint audio response was between 9 and 10 inches deep! The pinpoint button was working again on those super deep coin signals that were in the 8 to 10 inch range. Another silver dime came up, this one was another deep one, probably 8 to 9 inches. So the strategy paid off. When you first go to an area, clean out the shallow stuff with the 8 incher, then switch over to the larger 10 inch coil to get the deeper targets.

Nice finds and congrats! It's crazy how quiet those old wheaties can sound off.
