I thought some of you might enjoy seeing some of these. This is a few examples of the obsidian I have found over the years. The first one is a classic piece of black obsidian. The second is what is called mahogany obsidian. And the 3 small pieces are what is called pewter obsidian. It's hard to see the color in the picture but they look exactly like a piece of pewter.

nice,
mahogany obsidian is very nice, eye catching.
green obsidian is one color you don't see often. In the 90s I saw a point made of the green obsidian which was outstanding.

There is a mountain in Oregon called glass bute. The whe thing is basically obsidian. You can find every type and color of obsidian you can imagine. It's amazing.
