my friend digger came over and showed me this mandan stuff that he found in may
some of the arrow points are really tiny
my friend twitko helped find some of these

i do not know how that image of the knife handle got there
but it is my goof-up IMG_1905.webpIMG_1900.webpIMG_1901.webpIMG_1902.webp

Nice finds and lots of them. Thanks for sharing.

Thumb scrapers, Awls, (bone and stone), small High Plains arrow points, Bone Knife, and pottery; very nice assemblage of artifacts. But is that the broken head of a bone needle in the center of the middle photo? That would be an awesome find if complete. Tell your friend digger and Twitko nice finds.

thanks old digger
it is actually an end of a bracelet
it is made from split elk antler
look at twitko's may finds post and you will see a longer version of the same, although it has not been boiled to make it curved

Alright; Still a cool find.

i forgot to mention that the two large shards in the lower left of the first image have the classic imprints
from a finger and fingernail, one has three and the other has four
i should have cleaned them up a bit before i took the picture

Great finds, thanks for sharing! Interesting!

Cool! I love seeing the knife handles with the stains from the iron blade showing, still!

thanks much my friends,.....
these pottery shards are quite prolific while surface hunting along the missouri river, (if you find the right place)
