Some Insitu's from todays hunt!!

Got to go out for about an 1 1/2 to 2 hours today before the rain washed me out. Would go back out but I have Indians tickets for the family this evening. So the feild will have to wait till tommorow. Had a pretty decent day today. The 3 colored one I did'nt get an insitu cause I thought it was just a flake. 9 pieces in all , here are some of the better pics. Hope you enjoy.

You are correct! Northern Ohio points. Flint Ridge , Coshocton , Upper Mercer. Lots'a nice flint in this area. If only they werent so beat up most of the time. Find about 1 out of every 10 that are complete.

Nice productive is way better than none. Is the third pic the upper mercer flint?
Have a dart point same style of your find. Good show thanks.

Nice finds and killer in situ pictures Bent-Twig. Definitely Ohio types and materials. I live in Scioto county Ohio and find the same types and materials.

Good Ole Ohio Flint!Sometimes I go out on a hunt and might find a perfect Adena but made of a crune looking flint.Then I,ll find one banged up a little but made of a beautiful Flintrige type and that would be the one I show off first.I live right on the Adams,Brown County line along the Ohio river.I find a wide variety of different flint.Though there are a few found more than others.I really enjoyed your insitu pics and some nice finds as well.More than once I,ve been questioned if I polished or rubbed baby oil on them to make them shine. lolBut I understand why they would think so.Iyou don,t see that type of material much like we are lucky to here in OhiO.Your pics showed what I,ve been saying all along.
