Whats up buds
Well, I had a pretty good little day today, hunting for about an hour and a half and I documented it as I went. The weather was great and so I
headed out in pursuit to quench my relic hunting THIRST
Well, my first two finds were captured
on video before it ran out of batteries...
but I had a backup camera that did well to take up the slack.
I worked my way over to a new little section and before I knew it I had me a 3 ringer and a musket ball (will
post video) And here are the videos:

I than got a +80 signal on the MXT and wouldn't you know.....a HUGE root stood in the way of me and my
find :P :P
Man, how many times does that happen..ALL THE TIME!!
Well,
when I finally worked my way down around the root I pulled out this nice Brass object. It looks like a piece
from a gun as it is very weighty brass.
After that and a few yards away, another minie...however this one has a long strange shape to it....not like
any fired ones that I have ever seen PLUS it has a nice size "slice" in the side of it and it isn't from my shovel.
Not sure if it was put there during the Civil War but it looks like it:

While in that area there was a slope that looked like a good position for a soldier or two to hang out at and
look down the way and after digging the above minie I got another good signal, +65 on the MXT. This one
was DEEP, probably 11-12 inches and had the 11x14 Excelerator coil working Double time. It was just
barely giving off a repeatable signal, but it was enough and all I needed to pop out this minie with a very
nice patina encrusting it.
By this time it was getting close to "going time" and I decided to work my way back. I was working back
towards the truck when out of NOWHERE BEEP BEEEP BEEP....it was a SOLID LOUD and repeatable +89
and my blood started rushing. Can you see it?
Well if not, here it is out of the hole. See the edge??

Well I left it in the dirt clump
until I got home.......as I soon got another signal and I turned up a broken
Spur.
.I looked EVERYWH-
ERE for the rest of it but to no avail. You can see the channel for where the Rowel use to sit if you look
closely....OH WELL, maybe next time .....I also found some sort of brass ring
that I will I.D. here alittle later...
Oh and as for the COPPA......It turned out to be a big Brass Ring
Oh well, I am sure there are some
out there waiting to be found...especially with all these finds in a small little area....

Here is the total take....Hope you enjoyed the pics!
