some kind of eagle something or other??

I found this eagle thing at an old school yesterday, the bottom seems to have been broke off and I broke the rest retrieving. It was at around 7". I did manage to glue it back together, looks pretty neat like maybe a something that hung on a door maybe. Happy Hunting!!

Looks like a Griffen on a minor canon, used to see them in old churchs. Also a story about it.
