Some kind of military button

Button was found a few miles west of D'Hanis Tx. Fort Lincholn is about 3 miles away as the crow flies. I was hunting a plowed field where an old house used to be. Fort Lincholn was an indian outpost in the 1850s.

It may not be that old. It is the size of a nickel, maybe a hair bigger.
