Found this today. It's heavy. Not sure what it is. There is a "D" stamped on it. It seems to be two different metals, one part being a green color I think. Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks. What time period would you say? What kind of barrels?

The green metal is the brass seat. That type of valve or cock was probably used on a barrel of coal oil or kerosene at the general store.
