Hey Postalrevnant I know where you can get all the marbles you need for your fishtank!!!!! :D

That's quite a collection. You aren't just an avid collector...man, you are a RABID collector!! Nice, very nice.

Duffytrash,

That is one incredible collection of marbles. The biggest and best I have ever seen. I do find marbles a thing of beauty and art and so does my daughter. I expect that over time we will fill that fish tank and have it lit up to make it a very nice piece of artwork. I also plan to take time in bottle dumps that are older than 1920's ones or even older ones to sift them and work them. I will be checking out the bottles of course. I know that some of them are valuable, and I have a few bottle collectors that would love to have some bottles found specific to our area. A bit of luck will find some of the beautiful old marbles. And perhaps even a coin or 2. Maybe even my first silver quarter if I have not found one by then.

Thank you for sharing that Collection. IT is definately a very large and nice collection. If you ever get a small chance to would love to see some of your individual marbles that you like best. It's always awesome to see someone's favorites when they have a huge collection like that. You know you will be looking at some pretty special items, even if they are not the most valuable.

Thank you and congratulations.

A glutinous glitter of globular glass!!! Sounds like like you have acquired quite a collection! What are the details of the acquisition of such a horde? -Ben

thanks fellers....miles and miles of flea market asiles and yard sales, once a year in the fall jabo ,a marble factory here in southern ohio makes a run the call classics. they usually make industrial marbles for paint cans. they recycle the glass from the fenton glass factory in nearby williamstown,wv. ithe plant mgr. calls me when the run is done and i make the 30 mile trip and go thru and hand pick the swirls, my favs. its really a sickness, lolol ive got my wife convinced its for retirement. har. i go to old factory sites and dig em outta the dumps, too. the dumps are off limits now but i got permission to hunt one so im still gettin some good old mibs. at one time i had 35-5 gallon buckets of marbles. i found em in a road construction site. the marbles were used to back fill a ditch in wvg. they was all made in the early 50s. it was like shovelin gravel// it took 3 pick up loads one bucket weigs over 80 lbs.i can identify marbles and appraise em..so post your finds away..illl let ya know if ya get those rare gems..theres lotsa big money marbles out there and i know all the guys who pay the big bucks... later. steve
