I havent been hunting a lot lately but I managed to get out and explore some new areas along the river tonight. Found a few musketballs, a toasted copper and a shoe buckle frame made out of what appears to be lead/pewter:dontknow: First target of the night and my best find in awhile is my first entirely complete colonial era buckle:headbang:

Thats some great relics that buckle is nice I wish so much that we had an area like that here to find relics like that Great finds. Glad to see you found some time to get out. I didnt get out for a 3 month period just busy. Good post Toasted. Tommy

I am still in awe after learning that there is such a large following of colonial era buckle collectors, which I had barely heard of prior to reading a post a few weeks back. It is something that we wouldn't find out here in Southern California. However, I can appreciate the buckles and the intense following they have. Looks like a great find, congratulations!

Hi, wow nice finds, Congrats on the nice colonial era buckle:icon_thumright:

That’s a beauty, nice job!!

Nice digs. I have never had the opportunity or area to hunt for colonial goodies.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Couple nice finds. The complete buckle is a rare dig. A display piece for sure.

Thanks. I love finding early buckles. Ive got a bunch but this one is in my top three. You just dont find complete two piece buckles like this. Most of them had iron guts anyway

Hey Bryce, nice to see you posting again, you were the man along with Capt SE with the Explorers a dozen years ago.I still got my Explorer II,not used too much anymore because it's a brick on a stick and I'm pushing 70!

Sweet knee buckle!...One of my favorite things to find.. always a bonus when complete..Congrats!
