hello, here are 4 more pics of the ice in the river. I received them in an e-mail and are taken from the air of the
1,000 ft. freighter, James R. Baker.

#1 ...The Baker heading North and the Coast guard Cutter is a quarter mile ahead of it.

#2....Another shot of the Baker. She is churning up some ice.

#3....A Cutter zig zagging, trying to break up some ice.

#4 looking South down the St, Clair river with Lake St. Clair in the distance. The lake is shallow and the ice
dams up there. The tracks in the ice are from the Coast Guard Cutters trying to break up the ice.

Cool (cold) pics! When I was stationed at Wurtsmith Air Force base in Oscoda, we had to deal with alot of ice flows off of lake Huron. We tried to save a bridge but, MOTHER NATURE took it down river for 2 miles! Talk about POWER! p.s thanks for the post about when you thought i wasn`t looking.....my Grandma had almost the same saying hanging in her kitchen. :) hh Bob

Outstanding photos Ray, thanks for sharing them with us.

Thank you to all of you for your good replies.

Trapper Bob. That bridge must have been on the AU SABLE River, right? I've done a lot of canoeing on that one.
That one I posted about 'When you thought I wasn't looking' must have brought back some memories concerning
your Grandma. That was nice. That makes me glad that I did post it, because I almost didn't. It made a lot of
typing when I only use two fingers. LOL

Have a great day and Happy Hunting.
