1/ Has a resemblance of Quartz. Break open a fresh surface..
2/ Blurry pic, possibly sandstone or schist.
3/ Leaverite
4/ Rub it against a unglazed piece of porcelian, what "streak" colour does it leave?

thanks will try the streak test.the second one i posted looks kinda like it has a face , thats why i picked it up.will try and get clearer pics.

agree that #3 looks like sandstone...we have lots of that
I also have some of #4 and it feels waxy and streaks orange when scratched on unglazed porcelain. I always thought it was iron or melted rock from lightning sticks...LOL some are real peculiar shapes and look melted. I don't see much evidence of volcanic action in our area.

Goethite is another possiblity. Hard to say without atleast a pic. :)
