Hi everyone. This is my first official posting of MDing finds on this website and they weren't found today. These were found over the past several P1010158.webp months at 3 different old landfills in New Mexico using my trusty, reliable Etrac with the stock coil and running the TTF program for the most part. Thanks for looking.

I am literally speechless. How did you find those with the detector? Wouldn't it be blocked with all kinds of junk? And wow. Incredible finds.

If you know your detector really well, you know what to listen for... I have found many silver coins and tokens in the "gypsy" dumps behind the big "M" in Butte montana with my ace 250. You do pick up a multitude of signals, but I can tell wich ones to attempt to dig. I DONT use my pinpointer, cause its impossible when there is so much garbage, but I can set my detector just right to find what im looking for....
By the way DigImust, awesome collection!!!

What an awesome collection of finds. A big congratulations to you.

I am using an Etrac two tone ferrous program while working these high trash areas so all I'm hearing are 2 tones...low and high. The lower ones are mostly to be ignored, while the highly conductive tone s are what I dig. Silver, copper, brass, bronze....these are the desireable signals in searching out relics and coins. Of course not all high conductive signals turn out to be keepers. Dump hunting is a lot of work and patience is a must. But the rewards are worth it.

I imagine you also have some nice piles of scrap copper and brass saved up as well. Great finds!

Very nice !!! I've found a few goodies in New Mexico as well ,can not wait to visit again !! Congrats

Great finds, proof positive being "down in the dumps" isn't always a bad thing!......

do you run into a lot of rusty beer cans in your digs?.......

Very nice, I've been using my etrac in the 4 tone mode, ill have to try the 2 tone setting

Thanks for the nice comments and please check out my 2 most recent postings of dump finds.

Anyway we could see some photos of your tokens?
Been living vicariously through other people's finds lately.
Killer stuff!

Those are some great finds!

I just checked out your other post with the buttons... Wow wow wow.... Don't know what they are and can't help.. I'm sure someone will.... But wow wow they are beautiful. Nice digging :)

Amazing finds, how many hours total would you say you put in hunting these spots? ??? Once again awesome finds and big congrats well worth it ;).

On average, about 4 hours at a time at each dump. With drive time factored in, it adds up to about 7 hours total. When I first discovered my richest dumpsite, I would hit it twice a week for about a month. The finds don't all come at once, more like one or two a day. But every now and then I'll get lucky and come home with a handful of coins and jewelry. And thanks.:icon_thumleft:
