found them ion the side of a dry wash up in north Scottsdale. I soaked them in Hcl just to see if that yellow would burn off and as u can see it didn't touch it. Could that be gold ?

Put them in nitric acid in a well ventilated area with no animals or people about...hydrochloric will just clean the rocks and eat up the lime,if any.

hahah some how foun them both in the bottom of my black sand I scooped from the area. Nice surprise haha

I don't think that yellow is gold.

BUT

I do find small bits of gold in quartz just like that. Crush it to powder and pan it. You might find a flake or two.

No crusher? You can get a good one on eBay for $50. They're worth every penny. Search eBay for Sore Thumb Crusher. That and a gold pan and you're in business!

where can I get nitric acid I live in Phoenix

I don't live in Arizona so have no clue where to get the nitric,besides it's very difficult to purchase in lot's of places due to the terroristic world of today.

You can get a bottle of gold testing acid on ebay all day long. 4 or 5 dollars bottle.
