I decided to hit a local park with the stock coil. I was mostly looking for repeatable higher tones, mid tones are everywhere there. I managed to pull some keepers in a 3 hour hunt.

Today's Stats

1 Indian (1899)
7 wheaties
2 Rosies (47-P & 52-S)
A sterling Kiddiegem ring
Some clad, garbage, etc.

The ring is tiny, smaller than a dime.

Good luck out there!

Your crushing the silvers this year! Congrats

Dang that pretty good for a 3 hour hunt. Good way to start the year keep rippin my friend. Tommy

That was still a productive hunt!

From what I am seeing in my 3 months of ownership, the Equinox is good at sniffing between the iron (even better that the E-Trac was).

Successful hunt in a park. Congratulations. You DO know what lies out there amongst all those mid tones! You always have a back up plan if it's close to your home.

I was thinking of getting the small coil to enhance it more in these areas.

It is close to home and a deeper mid tone hunt is already on my to do list there.
