Relic Hunting
Since our last video, we have been on a few hunts. Dman dug the Franklin Half, 2 silver quarters, plus a silver dime that is not pictured and temporarily misplaced-LOL at some home sites. The dug relics in the pic with the RR spike came from some scouting trips. The melted pewter or silver came from the Williams Cleaner camp. I dug the relics in the pic with the 12# CS case shot cannonball frag on the Hartsville Battlefield on 10-17.
My best find lately was from today’s hunt with Dman. My first eagle “R” (Rifleman’s) cuff button came from a late 1862 Gen. John Hunt Morgan C.S.A. camp where two of my ancestors were camped with the 9[SUP]th[/SUP] TN C.S.A. Cavalry 152 years ago this month. HH from Doug & Q.

That Eagle R is still on my wish list! Well done, as always!

We didn't jump but Doug had 5 horses in his back pocket-LOL. HH, Q.

Nice finds guys, Silver is always good, but I guess Doug needs to buy you Lunch for you finding that Riflemans button, which is a Great find. I actually have never found a Eagle R either but have found parts of a Riflemans buckle. They are getting ready to harvest the fields where i found the buckle so hopefully with this new F75 I can find me my first R button and maybe the rest of my buckle.

Misplacing silver seems to be running rampant among members lately. Thanks Doug for trying to make me feel better, lol. Great relics, but I expect that from you fellows.

Congrats on the Eagle R button Quindy! They don't turn up too often.
