Sorry, this may not seem too abnormal to you, but I can tell you - the French live in their own non-parallel universe.

NOTHING makes sense in France.

Nice picts. That oversize load may be real as I am a Owner/operator truck driver and have seen this before. Someone's going to get in trouble over that, I mean big fine. When super loads (loads requiring police escorts and escort pilot cars front and rear. Super loads can also be based on height's, weight's and width's) must travel a certain route escort companies are supposed to do a complete route survey to make sure things don't happen like that

I grew up on the dirt trails and tracks... NO ONE could take that turn at 50.... without endangering oncoming traffic.... or worse.

I will extend the invitation / challenge - if you're up to it. 8)

30 mph is the equivalent of 50 KPH. Gotta remember that.

I am talking about drifting or "power sliding" through the turn.

I know how fast 50 kmh is. I drive in km everyday. Maybe I should have labeled that turn a switchback, not a hairpin turn.

I drive fast. >I< can not take that turn at 50kmh (31 mph).

You seem to be missing the point. (are you French?)

That speed limit sign should be replaced with a sharp turn sign. If nothing else, tell people to do 50 AFTER the turn! (because it is still a neighborhood with a lot of narrow twisty roads!)

Why is it the rest of Europe seem to understand reality?

Let the Algerians have France. They are half way there anyway.
