This morning I took the Vaquero out again. This time I hunted at a local ball park that I discovered from looking at old arial photos had an old home that once sat right square in the middle of the base ball field. Didn't want to dig there. But there was an adjacent barn that was just beyond the ball field were a small play ground is now. I hunted there. Nothing really ground shaking....but the Vaquero did pull some old iron relics that definitely were consistent with an old barn site. And they were DEEP! I pulled two old axe heads, part of an old file and half of a horse shoe. All of these were easily better than a foot deep. The dime and the bracelet piece were of course not very old. I'm becoming very comfortable and confident with the Vaquero and really enjoy using this machine. No matter what it may find under its coil, be it relics, coins or jewelry...the Vaquero is proving itself to be a very reliable and competent detector. Just wanted to share....Thanks.
