Some weird finds today.

Hi everyone.

Today was my first try at metal detecting.
I found a wheat penny and some modern coins.
I also found some weird items. Does anyone know what these things are?

These were in my backyard within 2 feet of each other.




I also found this thing.

Maybe part to a karosene lamp

Without knowing the size of these items, the can loking items look to be either old oil filters or fuel filters canisters, this was before the spin-on type of oil filter used today, the hole in the bottom was for a long bolt to secure the cannister around the paper filter and against the filter mounting surface on the engine.

The last item look sorta like from a lantern, but that is just a guess.

The top 2 can fit in the palm of my hand, so idk how big old fuel filters were. They have been crushed, but they are very hard metal. Maybe ran over?
