August in Texas...argh.

A friend alerted me that a house was about to be bulldozed so I braved the heat yesterday morning for a couple of hours to scour the lot before the crew arrived today. (The bulldozer was already parked in the yard and the trees all removed).

The house was built in the late 1940’s so I was hoping for some nominal goodies. My first target was a ’44 wheat so I was thinking this is going to be good! Well, I ended up with about $2 in clad but I did find a couple more wheats (’49 and ’52).

It was worth the effort as I would have wondered what I missed had I not tried.
