I think this post is timely, one of the few serious post I even care to make because a great deal of life is usually serious enough without the additional help.

Several years ago, as I was going through the toughest time in my life, I held a job in a small factory that was pretty low grade. There were a lot of rough people working there and it was quite common for the Sheriff to appear outside in search of an employee. One of the people who worked there had been in trouble before, and his appearance was pretty scary, a long pony tail, lots of tattoos, a rough looking beard, earrings, lots of leather, and a huge frame. Anyway, it was this one guy who eventually noticed that I was having problems and he sought me out to see if he could help. Up to this point my prior opinion of him was pretty low, to say the least, and throughout my workday I had always made it a point to stay away from him other then just the occasional small talk that had to exist whenever I was called upon to service his machine. But I have to tell you, that guy changed my life, and with nothing to gain and no reason to help me, he sought me out and he got me through the worst time in my life.

My point is this, while I am certain I am still guilty of it from time to time, as I suppose is just human nature, I try to make a conscious effort never to judge anyone until I have walked in their shoes so I might better understand them, so I might know more about them before I make judgement. Just a life changing experience I thought I would pass along at this time.

That was you :icon_scratch: :tongue3:

I thinks it's not always about having to walk in their shoes, but most importantly, it's not to rush to judgement.

great story

but remember also, sometimes the 'visual' of a person and a gut instinct could save your life when it comes to 'just running' into some people.
