I say bad retailer!....Bad, Bad, Bad!
Personally I don't fill up books. I'm just stacking. But I am in retail...there is not one item in my business that a fella can't get on Amazon. Still our business is growing because we try to focus on what Marcus Lemonis teaches....People, Process, Product. Don't be insulted, shop elsewhere! Sooner or later the real NOBODY in the situation will become very apparent.

Your dealer is either ignorant, or uninformed.

retailer is a DUMMY. I routinely sell HQ coins for 20 to 100X face, higher for dug ($38 for 1835 LC), rare, errors ($48 for '74 Jeff error), etc. ----, as we said years ago in the car business >>>>>> there is an a$$ for every seat, & you betcha---every car sold

I even got an unc 1942 Jeff in the batch, and STUCK IT IN MY BOOK. The books keep things neat. I also have rolls of stuff, and have begun sending stuff out to get graded. Now I'll soon have stacks of ERROR coins! Mostly unc, die clashes, 75% off centers, strike throughs DDO's and DDR's. I like to buy rolls and and mint sealed bags.

Sorry but I'm all out of rolls of solid gold coins to sell to the fancier dealers. BTW what's a gold coin?

I like being a nobody. Nobody comes to bug me late at night. Except my neighbor who just gave me a top notch night vision goggle set so I can see what critters are out here at night.

Smokey, you may want to invest in a Dansco album if you get coins like that '42 Nickel.

Filling up books is the fun part! Your dealer is ignorant like others have said, do what makes you happy
