(13) silver, a couple hundred pre 1958 nickels (1 buff), a couple hundred wheats.

Some background...

My mother in law is moving and she had change hoarded all over her apartment. My wife would find the change and throw it all in a tote for me to go through. It ended up being around 600.00 in change including 350.00 in susan b. anthonys, 100 in halves, and the rest in other demoninations. There was also some foreign coins that go back to the 20's. Here are some pictures of the loot.

Still that is a nice hoard. Us hoarders are good for saving:laughing7:

Nice! Wondering why you would save pre '58 nickels tho.

lots in the 40s, just saved them for the heck of it.

Great haul !!!

Nice hoard!! Hope to score one someday

Cool story! I love going through change now.

That is a great haul. Nice to see your still around. Hopefully I run in to you a few more times this year. HH

^^^^^^^^ This is what I'm wondering too. And why 1958 in particular ? Because that's when the cents changed from wheat ears to the memorial type ? Other than the war nickles & low mintages there are no Jefferson nickles that are ever going to go up in value due to the huge numbers of them out there.

Wow, that's a pile of change for sure! :icon_thumleft: Congrats on saving some keepers.
