Howdy Y'all,
I found this nutting stone up in the field where I found the little Meadowwood. It kind of looks like it was on it's way to becoming a discoidal. It has dimples in the center on both of the flat sides. Call me crazy, but it makes me wonder if discoidals are the Frisbees of the NA culture... that is, the Frisbee was a pie pan that people found out made a fun toy. I wonder if manos/nutting stones being nice and round evolved into toys as well.

I got permission from another field above a small creek that I'd been eyeballing for a while. Sometimes gullies open up on that field and look pretty inviting. The field was pretty well a bust, although my son picked up this mano that's rounded on one side and worn flat on the other...

Here are the two side by side...

I stopped by a construction site on County-owned property where some dirt had been moved. I took a walk around for a bit and found a little, used up drill.

Kindest regards,
Kantuck
