A few days after checking the field in Part 1, my sons and I checked another field where my father-in-law had found a couple of really nice Thebes points and where I'd found a not so nice Thebes. As we were walking, my older son called out that he'd spotted something so I walked over and took the in-situ.

It cleaned up pretty nice and turned out to be an Adena that's just shy of 4"...

I wonder what that material is with the white ticking. Too dark for Harrison. Maybe dark phase Holland from DuBois County. Gary

You're knowledge of materials far surpasses mine, so I'd just have to take the word of folks on here who have a better feel for regional flints and cherts.
