All Treasure Hunting
I live on the foot of a small mountain about 30min west of Chattanooga tn, close to where the TN river meets north alabama. Our property has two large natural springs that flow(not like it used to-due to the building of roads) into a creek about 100 yards behind my house. It seems like a perfect area for finding some treasures, but I don't really know where to look, considering the water level was probably higher 1000's of years ago. I have found some projectile points and a couple stone tools along with numerous civil war bullets. At first I was looking and digging in the wrong places I feel bc alot of what I thought were artifacts turned out to be cool concretions. Ill post some pics of the property if any1 is interested.

These look like some type of writing?? Is it me or do they resemble paleo-hebrew characters

Sorry, but those look natural to me.

Sounds like you are in the right spot though, so keep on looking!

Hello neighbor…sounds like you are in a prime spot. I'm with roaddust66…let me come help! I bet TNMountains has a few pointers for you, but he may need some more details about the landscape. Post some of the points you found!

I lived in that area during the 1970's. There is a plethora of native american and civil war artifacts in that area. We use to walk plowed fields every weekend and accumulated an astonishing collection of Indian artifacts. Have been actually been meaning to post some pics, but it will probably be awhile due to work and other stuff. We also metal detected old civil war camps, but I have to admit we didn't really know what we were doing. I remember one time digging down about 1.5 feet into rock hard clay only to find a metal plate with "US" embossed on it. It was so hot, the ground was so hard, and we were so tired that we filled in the hole and left it, never to return...
