Having read American history for many years I would suggest that in order to appreciate and understand our unified history that you look at battlefields...org and read the Articles of Secession of the individual Southern States. I was surprised that I had, over 40 or so yrs of reading missed them. As Winston Churchill said, “The farther back you can look, the farther forward you can see.”
