I have my Grandfathers Spanish American War uniform. Too bad his hat is not here.
I also have his journal that he kept in Cuba, along with a couple of bundles of correspondence and articles he kept about the war.

Would it be of interest to anyone like a museum? Collector?

Way cool! I'm sure it would be of interest to a museum, and probably collectors of militaria. One of my Grandfathers was in the SAW and WWI, but all that came down were his brass insignias and postcards. My deceased fathers WWII combat boots and Ike jacket ended up on a maniquin in a WWII museum in Holland depicting a trooper of the 82nd Airborne after I put them up for auction on ebay several years ago. I'm sure my father would be pleased knowing that his boots help to teach others about that part of history and the terrible costs of war. Your items should certainly be preserved as I have never seen much material from the war in Cuba.
