Jeff, enjoy your posts on all the hidden and found treasures! My wife and I have been visiting that part of Florida since the early 90's. Guess I should do more detecting there than fishing!!!
 

I'll come and hunt with you SD51 !!! Ive been hearing about coins there for years !!
 

Sounds good to me Blak bart. I'm guessing there's a few good targets on the section of the island designated as the Gulf Islands National Seashore which is totally off-limits to any detecting.
 

Two blurbs from the Laws and Policies section of the brochure for the Gulf Islands National Seashore;

11. Metal detectors are not allowed and all historic objects and buildings are protected.

17. There are no clothing optional areas within the national seashore, rangers will enforce regulations regarding public nudity.

Guess there would be a real problem there if I went detecting in the nude...
